Chart: This photo-to-cross-stitch converted chart is completely stitched, so the chart has many symbols with lots of confetti stitching.  There are no fractional stitches or backstitching. The chart covers four pages with no overlap. The symbols are quite small and difficult to differentiate.

Stitches: Pattern uses whole cross stitches only.

Materials: Stitched in DMC stranded cotton on 14ct Aida.

Designer’s Notes: None.

Why I was attracted to this design: I bought this from eBay in 2003. One of my first eBay puchases and my first and only art-to-cross stitch conversion (or photo-to-xstitch coversion) chart I bought for many many many years. I was attracted to such a cute picture of the cat.

So why haven’t I stitched it? I was an eBay novice when I bought the chart and I didn’t really know about art-to-cross stitch conversions until after I bought the chart and then saw what I had bought.  It was not a design that had been deliberately charted for cross stitch like I was used to, it was a photo someone had carelessly thrown through a conversion program and sold through eBay.  This was the design that turned me off conversion charts for the next decade.

Where can you buy it? You can’t.  the seller is no longer on eBay Australia.  If anyone wants this chart, feel free to comment below and I will give it away.

Discussion questions: Have you every been profoundly disappointed in a chart you bought online or through an eBay like site?
