Chart: This La-D-Da chart is printed on one side of a double-sided A4 cardboard sheet. The symbols are printed quite small, but it is an easy-to-follow design so the small symbols shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. You might still want to make a working copy simply to mark off your progress stitching up that green nose though.

Stitches: Pattern uses whole cross stitches and backstitch.

Materials: Stitched in one strand of Needlepoint Inc  silks on Weeks Dye Works 35ct “Havana” linen. Personally I would stitch 2 over 2 on 3oct Havana rather than the 35ct.

Designer’s Notes: “Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble.”

Why I was attracted to this design: A beautiful Gothic scene from Shakespeare!  From Macbeth’s three witches. One of my favourite scenes and my favourite characters :)

So why haven’t I stitched it? Well I haven’t acquired the fabric yet, and I managed to give away all of my Needlepoint Inc threads in presents and RAKs lately – oooops.  So I have no materials at all in my stash towards stitching this one.

Where can you buy it? This design is still in print and available through your LNS or ONS for $8.00 (US)

Discussion questions: This pattern is designed to be stitched in one strand on 35ct.  Personally I would find it easier to stitch 2 over 2 on 3oct Havana rather than the 35ct.

Do you have a definite point where *your* eyes say “Nope, not going to cope with that count”?
